L'AMOR WOMEN OF POWER
The main goal of L'amor is to encourage every woman to love herself as she is. Every woman is worthy, full of power, strength, and beauty - she simply needs to look within herself and let it radiate to the outside world. This page spotlights women whose life story serves as an inspiration to others.

Something so imperative to remember is, we ALL have our own individual struggles. There is an element of comfort in knowing that we are so far from alone and sharing our own struggles will always help someone. Something that I have struggled with over the years (along with many other women) is my body. My body has been a topic of conversation in other people's mouths since I can remember and throughout the years I’ve had to unlearn a lot of beliefs and perceptions planted in my mind. The way others would talk about my body was never in a positive light. I’ve been told my worth was less because of it, I couldn’t find love because of it, I would be prettier if I lost some lbs. and much more. It’s disheartening how much the words of others can affect our perceptions (if we allow it). With the tumultuous, and dedicated hard work, I have completely changed the way I look at myself in the mirror now. Now, I speak of my body and how it empowers me, how strong it is, and how beautiful it is. It is empowering to take back the narrative on how your body is viewed because quite frankly, others do not have the right to speak on your body. It is a vessel that carries something so much more precious. For us to be so concerned about every inch of how it looks is arbitrary. It does not matter whether you have cellulite, stretch marks, back rolls, an apron belly, pigmentation, or thin or thick thighs. They make you different. They make you unique. That is why you’re beautiful. I would much rather be different than look like everyone else.
